Identity Broadcasting

Be seen. Only here. Only now.

Every room is full of people you would get along with. You walk past them every day. The internet knows everything about you. The person next to you knows nothing.

Identity Broadcasting is a protocol for real-world social discovery. You don't post content to a feed. You broadcast parts of who you are, such as your mood, what you're up for and what you're into, to the people physically around you, for as long as you are there. Then it fades.

How the protocol works

Protocol v0.9, draft.

ZONE
A temporary layer over a physical place. It opens when someone broadcasts there and closes when the last person leaves. Busy places split into new zones, so a zone never becomes a crowd.
BROADCAST
You choose which facets of yourself to emit, and only people in the same zone receive them. Different place, different self: the bar is not LinkedIn.
TRACE
Your presence lingers briefly after you leave, then disappears. Serendipity without a permanent record.
REPUTATION
Earned in real meetings, not with likes. Reputation unlocks broadcast rights.
CLAIM
Open a zone nobody has opened and you become its founder, with perks that last for a while. An empty world is an opportunity.
OPEN
The broadcast layer is designed as an open protocol that others can build on.

Why

Social media connects people through content and keeps them behind screens. Identity Broadcasting connects people through context: the place you are in, the moment you share and the parts of yourself you choose to show. Content is optional. Presence is the point.

Status

In hibernation. The protocol is drafted and Identity Broadcasting is a registered U.S. trademark (Reg. No. 5,956,199). We are opening the conversation to builders, investors and early nodes.
